On the East side of the Giant Mountains, on the verge of Poland, you find the most eastern mountain area from Bohemia; the Eagle Mountains. This small mountain area is called in Czech "Orlické Hory" and is ca. 20 km long and 10 km wide. The highest peak of the mountains (1150 m) is on the Czech side.
The Eagle Mountains are charitirised by large forests, fresh meadows and sparkling rills. There are a lot of marked trails for hiking and biking, which will lead you along idyllical places. Many little rivers cross this area, for example the river "Orlické". This river is bordered by beautifull towns and castles. The large lakes for recreation "Rozkos" in the North and "Pastviny" in the South, are perfect for swimming, sailing, rowing and canoeing. The pleasant continental climate makes a stay in the Eagle Mountains from May till September really enjoyable. Copyrights Klaverik Design
