| Information about Broumovsko National Park |
|
Just on the eastern border of Chvaleč Broumovsko National Park begins. It reaches out all the way to the Polish border. This national par includes the magnificent areas of Adrpach and Teplické Skalý; the so called Rocktowns. It's possible to explore these areas by foot. A tour brings you by rockformations called like Spanelska stena (Spanish Wall), Homole Cukru (Sugar bread) and the highest rock Milenci (Lovers). This last one is almost 100 meters high! In summer you can also take a boattrip on the blue lake and admire the beautiful rocks from the water. Snow and ice in winter turn the park into a mysterious surrounding.
A nice suggestion is to visit the Adrpach and/or Teplické Skalý by train. There's a trainstation in Chvaleč (10 min. walk) and the train to the rocktowns takes about 30 min., leading you in a quiet tour through the forests and hills.
