The direct surroundings of Oranžový dům give you a large variety of activities. Some we like to meantion:
- In the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše), Eagle Mountains and the National Park Broumovsko there are many well marked routes for hiking and biking.
- A remarkable place for hiking, biking and rock-climbing are the famous rocktowns of Adršpach and Teplice Skaly. Only 10 minutes away from Oranžový dům.
- The Sněžka, Snow mountain, is with 1602 m the highest mountain in Czech Republic. The cable ride to the top is an extraordinary experience (it takes about 25 min.) The Sněžka can be reached by car in about half an hour.
- From Oranžový dům 8 ski areas, from which 2 within 5 min., can be easily reached.
- The largest ZOO of Middle Europe is situated in Dvůr Kralové and can be reached within 30 minutes.
- In Mladé Buky, 20 minutes from Oranžový dům, there is an 18-holes golfcourt.
- Near Trutnov and Náchod there are large lakes for water recreation. In Dolce, near Trutnov, people mostly go swimming and fishing. There is also a large slide into the water. Rozkoš, near Náchod, is larger. It's also possible to sail and surf here.
- In Trutnov there are also an indoor and large outdoor swimming-pool, indoor karting, squashcourt, fitness centre and bowling.
- But maybe you like it better to go horseback riding, canoeing/rafting or (fly)-fishing. Or you like to explore the surrounding from the air out of an airplane or hanging under a paraglider.
